KURIR hails from Sweden and makes raw, distinctive techno with strong grooves and industrial elements — hypnotic, glitchy, and distorted. His fascination with contrasts, and with putting broken sounds into new contexts, creates striking sound images and a signature all his own. Rhythm and groove are essential and remain his main focus, with tempos usually around 140–146 BPM. For KURIR, the creative process is the most important part of making music; the end result is secondary to the journey of getting there. As he jokingly puts it, once the track is finished, the magic is gone. 😉
